Earlier, I wrote that the Washington Post's Dana Milbank was drawing heat for suggesting in a web video that Hillary Clinton should drink "Mad Bitch" beer.
Now that video -- which was featured prominently on the Post's homepage Friday -- has been taken down.
"The video was a satirical piece that lampooned people of all stripes," a Post spokesperson tells POLITICO. "There was a section of the video that went too far, so we have removed the piece from our website."
Indeed, the "Mouthpiece Theater" video -- which Milbank hosts along with his colleague, Chris Cillizza -- played off yesterday's "beer summit" with jokes about what types of beer other political figures would drink.
And while the Post reporters even made fun of themselves -- their selection was Jackass Oatmeal Stout -- it was the Clinton remark that quickly set off red flags and raised questions of sexism.
I am glad they removed this but what took them to long. It is never appropriate to call any woman a "b**ch its not funny its pathetic and only good for causing people pain.
And the hateful rhetoric continues. No matter what Hillary Clinton does, how successful she is, or how many times she bails Omoron out there will always be jerkwads like this who are so jealous of her they are intent on destroying her. To call ANY woman a b**ch is demeaning - there is no wiggle room for argument on that. To even hint at calling the US SoS a b**ch is so disrespectful I can't even begin to put the disrespect into words.
At some point the women of this country had better start standing together and fighting against the sexism and misogyny that is running so rampant against us. If we don't....then we have no one to blame but ourselves for the continuing disrespect being leveled against us.
