For those who may be unaware, today is the first anniversary of the establishment of The New Agenda.  TNA is a group of women who decided women need to stick together regardless of political affiliation.  This group was established out of necessity seeing how other so-called "womens groups" such as NOW didn't stand up for women running for higher office unless it was convenient for them (and unless you had a D after your name).

Please mark this celebration by becoming a Charter Member of The New Agenda.  This is a non-profit group that is providing a united front against mysoginy in the media and in the workplace.  They strive to empower ALL women in areas of Safety, Opportunity, Unity, and Leadership (they are good for a woman's SOUL, so to speak).

Please join me in becoming a Charter Member today!

I am guessing that when they started originally that if you signed up you were added to an email listing.  They are asking for people to become members and increase the organizations strength through paid membership.  Since the organization started as a volunteer group it has grown in critical mass and it necessitates having a financial ability to affect change.
