'ABC’s Jake Tapper reported last night that the President’s Political Arm Follows His Lead in Drumming Up Support for Health Care Reform Push — by Criticizing Media.
In his August 20, 2009, meeting with supporters at the Democratic National Committee and its “Organizing for America” (OFA) arm – formerly the “Obama for America” campaign – President Obama blamed the media for the fact that many untrue claims made by opponents of his health care reform push had been accepted by many Americans as fact.
Stating that end of life care was “previously considered a bipartisan concept,” the president said, “this used to be just a sensible thing that everybody could agree to.”
But it “suddenly became ‘Death Panels,’ and scared Grandma,” he said, “and it’s just irresponsible.”
“Scared Grandma?” Can our President say anything that doesn’t sound condescending and insulting?
The president added, “I have to say, part of the reason it spreads is the way reporting is done today. If somebody puts out misinformation, ‘Obama’s Creating Death Panels,’ then the way the news report comes across is: ‘Today such-and-such accused President Obama of putting forward death panels. The White House responded that that wasn’t true.’ And then they go on to the next story. And what they don’t say is, ‘In fact it isn’t true.’”
Even more preposterous than the President demonizing “grandma” and anyone else angered by the arrogant, flatfooted handling of health care reform legislation, he is now demonizing the press, his strongest allies.

Omoron is just that....an absolute MORON!!! What was once a reputable news source and is now just a shambles of faux reporting, the media has spent how long now doing nothing but performing journalistic fellatio on Oasshat, and he criticizes them by saying they aren't reporting the truth about his "fabulous" health plan????? OMG!!! I'm ROTFLMAO at that one! The media is lying, Oasshat???? Well welcome to our world - how does it feel?

Maybe he should plaster his face on every magazine cover again so that they all think he is the bees knees again.

When you put stupid ass "generalities" in a bill, or statements that are unclear regarding decisions individuals don't normally think about ( e.g. a living will, a healthcare proxy, etc.) then what do you expect?  The language that our bureaucrats use in bills is worse than legaleeze;  they can't seem to speak any kind of comprehensible language. 

Many of the representatives in our Congress and Senate are so out-of-touch with the common citizen that it is no wonder we don't understand a word they say.  They strive to be hip with their texting on Blackberries and then show off their Ivy League Law Degrees by using language that only an elite few will understand.   Most of the representatives who were not part of that Ivy League culture (many Blue Dog Dems) have to have translators working on their payroll.  We don't get that luxury.

It is only human nature to distrust an individual who disguises their plan in incomprehensible language.  If they made the Bill easy to understand from the get-go, then it wouldn't have mattered about the media (to some degree).

He is SO STUPID!!  This is just like the "Special Olympics" comment, or the Hillary and McCain flipoffs, or any of an atrocious number - which is ANY - idiotic comments he makes, that indicate O-freakazoid is too immature and clueless to scrap gum off the sidewalk, let alone run the country/world.

I can't even imagine the karma coming to the Creepy Corporate Cabal for putting this cretin in charge.

Yup, I agree with you all. It was all of those "implications" that the HR3200 had. The only ones to blame is BHO and his stupid cabal.

I took those implications seriously and so should everyone else. Passing in congress would give carte blanc to the senated/legislation to do as they please.

Admittedly, the story I'm posting is only related to the original post in that they both mention biting and health care reform.  Make of it what you will.  I don't know anyone who would get into a fist fight with a 65 year old or would bite a person's finger off.  To me this is the epitome of wacko behavior.   BTW, BO can't control his people on the ground, but both the right and left have been inciting people on the MSM and many don't know that the media revs things up to get ratings.  The MSM doesn't care if what they say causes people to act violently.  That's why I tend to ignore most of what is said by the MSM.  These days 95% of the "news" is entertainment and little of it could be considered informational or educational in any way.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California authorities say a clash between opponents and supporters of health care reform ended with one man biting off another man's finger.

Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Frank O'Hanlon says about 100 people demonstrating in favor of health care reforms rallied Wednesday night on a street corner. One protester walked across the street to confront about 25 counter-demonstrators.

O'Hanlon says the man got into an argument and fist fight, during which he bit off the left pinky of a 65-year-old man who opposed health care reform.

A hospital spokeswoman says the man lost half the finger, but doctors reattached it and he was sent home the same night.

She says he had Medicare.

O'Hanlon says the attacker fled but authorities have a good description.
