Does Obama face a 2012 Challenge In His Own Party? (Rasmussen 9/04/09)

Leading liberals are already thinking the unthinkable: Challenging President Obama for the Democratic nomination in 2012.

And of course, we all know whose name is at the top of THAT list! smile.gif

Among Democrats, 79% viewed Clinton favorably, including 49% whose view of her was very favorable.
Obama’s approval ratings, by contrast, have been in negative territory for weeks in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
Should former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin prove to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, Clinton beats her for now 51% to 39%.

LOL yes Hillary is the one.  I hope she does take him on but I really have this feeling that he is not planning on a second run.

Hillary would beat anyone!
But anyway if she wants to run again she should announce her candidacy by 2011, if I am not wrong!

I think you're right HMG - I think he and his "team" found out that the job of President actually means WORKING!  The White House keeps floating that "he is willing to be a one term President" to get Healthcare or bla bla bla.  I think the DNC is already trying to come up with a "cover story" to the fact that Obama and his administration doesn't have it in them to do two terms.

Oh, and I just thought of something that rates a whole new post, rather than an addendum.

The BO "administration" is shopping around the idea that he may only be a one-term fake president because they are praying to GOD that O-ineligible can even last THAT long!biggrin

There may be other plans . . .

There has been a bill introduced that deals with term limits for Presidents.

"H. J. Res. 5:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President."

This is encouraging news. But, I don't trust the Dems at all, now after 2008. The party "leaders" didn't want her then, and if they do now, it's only to save their sorry a**es from being tossed out of office. Nancy, Harry, Rahm, and pals hitched their wagons to BO's star. Little did they know it was a falling star. lol.

The people spoke in 2008, and the DNC ignored them, took their votes away, and threw them under the bus. What poetic justice it would be to see the people prevail, and Hillary assume her rightful place - the one that was stolen from her in 2008.

I wonder what Donna Brazille is thinking. Oh well, who cares. Message from the base - Donna, you're irrelevant. lol.

After this total and complete travesty, Hillary is probably the ONLY one who could save the Democrats from ruin.  They've GOT to know that!  Maybe the new phrase should be "HILLARY IS OUR ONLY HOPE FOR CHANGE!"

The way the numbers look, Harry Reid's going to be out on his arse in 2010. We won't have any such luck getting rid of Pelosi, but if the Repubs take over the House she won't be Speaker anymore. That ought to wake up some of the wishy-washy Dems like the morons we have here in Michigan.

And it couldn't happen to a more deserving soul.  I can't wait to see him defeated.  I do wish there was a way to unseat Nancy.  But, I will be happy to see her have to turn in her Speaker's gavel.  Maybe she'll do less damage as a mere congresswoman than as Speaker.  I hate feeling that way about another woman, but damn, it is just impossible to respect, support, or even, like Nancy P.
