The DNC equated the GOP detractors with terrorists in an email blast. This is the kind of over the top insanity that was the hallmark of the GOP from A****er to Rove. Yet, as Greenwald points out, this vulgarity was parroted by Media Matters and others. It betrays a complete and willful unconsciousness of recent political battles. How many times did GOP blowhards call anyone who questioned Bush's lies about WMDs with lines like "Real Americans support the President" , as if patriots speaking truth to power were infidels. Coulter called Edwards a "fag", Rove spread rumours about Ann Richards being a lesbian...the list of GOP nastiness since 1988 is endless.

Now power has shifted to the other party and the exact same tactic is employed. Racist, and now terrorist, are the verbal M-80s of the moment.

Which brings me back to #3. The Left is imploding. Sinking into a morass void of principles. This is the result of opting to negate thought and avoid questions throughout 2008. This was not hope. It was an expression of a national spasm of pain. Obama is not the result of hope - he sprung to power by harnessing pain."

I'm a lefty liberal.  And it is AMAZING to me how these morons that voted for Obama are tying themselves into KNOTS trying to defend him, and keep those who can actually see and think for themselves quiet.

Must suck to be them.  Hey, it's probably like what is was to be a Republican who voted for Bush about two years or so into his residency.

It's the Big Money Machine that does it.  We have to do everything we can to take them DOWN!!

VULGAR is a good word for what the Left has become.  Never in my darkest dreams could I have imagined that my own party would have sunk this low.  But, I was naive back before 2008.  I thought we were smarter than Republicans, for some reason, and that we had higher standards.  Boy, was I wrong.

Good for Glenn! I don't always read him, but sometimes when I have certain questions I do visit his site.

I can't believe how they think he has transformed the globe in the first 10 days in office.
