More serious perhaps was Mr Obama's strange disconnectedness over the Fort Hood massacre of 13 soldiers by an Army major and devout Muslim who opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, had praised suicide bombing and shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he opened fire.
Maybe Mr Obama had been reading the American press, much of which somehow contrived to present the atrocity as a result of combat stress due to soldiers going on repeated war deployments (though Major Nadal Hasan had not been on any) and therefore, no doubt, Mr Bush's fault.
When the television networks cut to the President, viewers listened to him spend more than two surreal minutes talking to a gathering of Native Americans about their "extraordinary" and "extremely productive" conference, pausing to give a cheery "shout out" to a man named Dr Joe Medicine Crow. Only then did he briefly and mechanically address what had happened in Texas.
On Friday, when most of the basic facts were available, Mr Obama tried again. It was scarcely any better. He began by offering "an update on the tragedy that took place" - as if it was an earthquake and not a terrorist attack from an enemy within - and ended with a promise for more "updates in the coming days and weeks".
Completely missing was the eloquence that Mr Obama employs when talking about himself. Absent too was any sense that the President empathised with the families and comrades of those murdered.
In the Comments, someone mentioned that George W. and Laura Bush have visited Fort Hood while 0 is off to Camp David.
Thanks, Jen, and good morning, Hillary's Worlders!
Does anyone else think Obama is a plant to make the Democrats never win again? Somebody pushed him out on the world stage and said "Do your worst!" and Barry is following those instructions to a "T."
Here's a good comment from underneath the article:
In reading these comments, I hear a lot of people saying they prefer a cool, collected president who behaves logically. I even heard one say that his lack of comment was to keep from prejudicing the case against Nidal Malik Hasan, the shooter at Ft. Hood.
These arguments make sense. However, when Mr. Obama's friend Skip Gates was arrested, where was the cool, collected, logical man who wouldn't get involved for fear of prejudicing a case? Nowhere. He jumped to a conclusion and announced it on national TV.
So, is it really that much of a stretch to propose that Obama could not care less about the lives of our soldiers and definitely does not want to get involved when a fellow(?) Muslim is the perp?
~~
My comment:
Obama is a pig, and he makes it more apparent everyday. He could hide his true self somewhat during the campaign, what with the media being paid to prop Barry up. But many knew that once he was in office, Obama's true colors would be impossible to hide.
This man needs to step down for the good of the country. He obviously does not care for our dear military men and women, and is not nearly fit for the office of commander in chief.
It's also obvious Barack's another corporate tool, cowtowing to the demands of his Big Money Masters. He's gone back on most of his promises to the Dems, and they're none too happy about being "bamboozled." Get out, Obama, and let someone run our country that actually loves America!

What a shame that we have to read foreign papers to get a perspective that's more rooted in reality. BO couldn't even muster enough fake emotions so he could look like he really cared about what happened at Ft. Hood.
And yes, it does seem like the media have been pushing PTSD as the reason for why the Ft. Hood shooter acted as he did. As the facts are emerging we see that Nidal Hassan (?) did not have a history of mental illness, but did have strong emotions regarding his religion and U.S. involvement in the Middle East. Saying this is not an indictment of Islam, but to avoid discussing religion as a factor doesn't make sense. Yet, most of the media have been focusing on PTSD (when the shooter hadn't previously been deployed) as a factor and how Nidal Hassan had experienced some harassment because of his religion. Thus far, I've only heard about a bumper sticker in his car being removed and his car getting keyed. Those aren't reasons to go on a deadly rampage.
Well, the Fort Hood shooter gave a speech saying infidels should have their throats cut and hot oil poured down it to a group of psychiatrists months ago, and PCness gave him a pass and a promotion.
Doesn't Obama have a personality disorder or two himself? If so, detachment and lack of empathy are common then. I'd rather have a POTUS with a pulse myself.
IMO, Obama didn't respond like a normal human - let alone the president, because he wanted to continue to send a message to his Anti-American supporters throughout this country and the world. He wanted them to rest assurred that he STILL did not give a sh** about this country, and was still working to destroy it from within.
Maybe it sounds a little paranoid (and admittedly, I've had a fever all week-end from yet another cold -lol), but I believe it's true. Obama KNEW what the expected response was. He knew. Yet, he didn't respond accordingly. Now, we know that Obama is perfectly capable to giving a decent speech - when his teleprompter works. Had he wanted to pretend to be upset by this tragedy, he possessed the acting skills to do so. He has gotten this far by pretending. The fact that he chose not to respond appropriately, when he KNEW what was expected by the people of the country, and was fully capable of fashioning an appropriate response, says to me that he made an active choice - not to even pretend to give a sh** about this tragedy. Why would he have done so, if in fact, he made such a choice? Either to, yet again, shove it in our faces that he was screwing over this country and that the American people were stupid to have elected him. OR, he did it to signal his fellow Anti-Americans that he's still one of them.
Either way, this man is a joke.
