Clinton backstabber #472 goes down in flames: Chris Dodd forced out

Boy, the hits just keep on coming for the Hillary haters.
Christopher Dodd, the Senator late of Connecticut, announced his resignation today. Polls showing Dodd to be unelectable in the fall elections finally forced him to relent to an onslaught of Democratic pressure.
People in his own party, and no doubt indeed people within the White House, were urging Dodd to step aside and allow a less, shall we say, despised candidate step in to keep Connecticut’s Senate delegation blue.
Not unlike political observers nationwide, Connecticut voters had become disgusted by Dodd’s galloping corruption. Dodd had blocked legislation that would have allowed more government oversight of giant financial firms like Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac.
Dodd did this to protect and serve lobbyists from those companies who bankrolled his political campaigns and greased his palms with gifts and grafts.
One result of Dodd’s backroom remuneration was the collapse of those firms, which helped cause the current Great Recession and financial crises – crises that could have been avoided had Dodd not protected his masters within the Wall Street-Washington corporate megacomplex.
When Chris Dodd stabbed Hillary in back by jumping on the hope and change express during the 2008 primaries – endorsing the fledgling Teleprompter reader over his longtime friend and colleague – Dodd must have known that it would come back to bite him. After all, he remarked at the time:
“I’m sure she'll remember, for the rest of her life, who was with her and who wasn't.”
Yes, I’m sure she will. And I’m sure she is laughing her head off in pure schaudenfreude at Dodd’s sorry fate right now. Or more like pitying him and the rest of the people who thought becoming Obamacrats would serve them well in their futures.
Wrong.
Dodd joins these other flailing, humiliated Clinton backstabbers in the trash bin of history: Greg Craig, Bill Richardson, Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, David Paterson, Chris Matthews, Howard Dean, John Kerry, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline Kennedy of Schlossberg, Michael Moore, Jesse Jackson Jr., and John Edwards.
