What he meant, of course, was that everyone would have to sacrifice to lift American out of the worst recession since the Great Depression except for Barack and Michelle Obama.
Now we learn that the the Obama White House has held one party every three days in first year of Obama reign.
Let the good times roll” – and roll they have at the Obama White House, while nearly 11% of the workforce remains unemployed, nearly four million Americans are losing their homes, and terrorists ride the open skies.
In fact, according to the Chicago Tribune, the stylish Ms. Rogers and the party-hearty First Couple hosted no less than 170 parties and social events through December 3 of 2009. And that does not even include the 17 parties and 11 open houses – feting more than 50,000 guests – ABC News reported the Obamas hosted throughout the Holiday Season.
For those not counting, that means by January, 2010, Ms. Rogers had staged one gala White House event every three days throughout the first year of the Obama Administration, making the once austere Executive Mansion look more like party central.
" Upon arrival in Puerto Rico, Secretary of State Clinton "hitched" a ride on a C130 to Haiti that was carrying supplies. The C 130 is a military plane which is anything but luxurious - the seats are uncomfortable, and it is incredibly loud (like the military, the Secretary wore earplugs on the flight.) She could have flown on the Secretary of State plane -- but she did not want to take up space on the tarmac from supply flights and thus elected to go on a plane (C130) that was already scheduled to fly into Haiti.
Members of the media flew ONE WAY with Secretary of State Clinton -- paying the government for seats, of course, as we always do. When making the arrangements to go to Haiti, however, the State Department informed us in the media that we could ONLY have a seat ONE WAY. We would have to figure out how to get out of Haiti ourselves.
All the seats on the C130 OUT of Haiti would be occupied by government employees and Americans seeking to leave Haiti and who were stranded there. Let me repeat: the media did not take up any seats on the C130 returning from Haiti and the State Department specifically told us we could have none.
Once in Haiti, the Secretary met with the President of Haiti and others --including members of aid groups and our military. She intentionally did not leave the Haiti airport for the simple reason that she did not want to tie up traffic and she did not want to use a car - this is an emergency situation in Haiti and all cars are needed to move supplies. If she had left the airport, everyone would have followed and it would have created congestion -- not something that the country can afford to have. "
Hillary shows greater leadership than any president and/or government official I've ever witnessed. She's not about the fluff, the glory, or the photo-ops.
Meanwhile, back in the US, it's PARTY TIME! I remember not long after The Fraud's inauguration, reading that he and MO threw parties every Wednesday, with entertainment provided by well-known musicians, food, drinks, the whole nine yards.

Well, he doesn't know how to trim a budget, or maintain one. Michelle isn't doing her job either, I mean just look at her vegetable garden show! The party is just about over!
You know michelle is probably the most do nothing 1st lady in recent history, especially for the amount of staff she has. I understand michelle has the girls, but they are in school 8 hours a day what does she do with the time?
While the WH has diplomatic events to host, a party every three days seems excessive. I wish there was comparison to prior WH records.
Yes, in contrast, Hillary is a well grounded performer.
In case you all did not know, Hillary's most recent shindig in the State Dept was FUNDED BY HER PERSONALLY. She even rented the hall in the State Dept. This was when she invited the technology companies - it was the technology forum. She paid for it all!!
