I am just going to type up what I am finding on local newspapers front page top headlines.
Metro Boston: Obama singing blue state blues > The fate of president's agenda - especially health care - will be decided in the Bay state > Polls show tight race between Martha Coakley, Scott Brown > Election to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy has taken on national significance (And a BIG picture of Pres.Obama sitting down, staring in front into open space, with hand on his mouth with a pensive look - NO PICTURE OF THE CANDIDATES anywhere on the first page!!!)
TELEGRAM & GAZETTE: Senate race ends in final frenzy today Partisan enmity could lead to large voter turnout
"One nonpartisan organization, Mass-Vote, predicted that up to half the stae's nearly 4 million registered voters will cast ballots - far higher than the 20- to 30-pecent turnout often seen in special elections."
The Boston Globe: All eyes on Bay State ballot 1) By phone, ads, or in person, a frenzy to get out the vote 2) Brown, Coakley make final push before high-stakes election day
The Patriot Ledger: THE BIG FINISH Senate candidates battle to the end as voters hit polls today
The Standard-Time: [New Bedford area] DECISION DAY It's down to the wire for Coakley, Brown (With a huge picture of Scott Brown in the midst of a rally with lots of people surrounding him, with scott brown showing a thumb up as he is extending hand to shake hands with someone, people taking photo, one person extending hand to shake hand, Scott Brown placards in the audience; a smaller picture of Coakley at the podium)
The Herald News: DOWN TO THE WIRE Hopefuls scour state as end to fight for Kennedy's seat nears (Beth Fouhy, AP writer)
The Enterprise: DOWN TO THE WIRE (yes, no mistake, same heading as in The Herald News but different picture and article!) Once sleepy Senate campaign has voters energized and some crossing party lines Cape Cod Times: Time to Choose The two candidates, and numerous political action groups, work feverishly to sway undecided voters before today's election

BOSTON – With the weight of the political universe on their shoulders, the two candidates running for Edward M. Kennedy's old Senate seat embarked on a frenzied last day of campaigning yesterday, while outside groups on both sides of the health care debate flooded the state with money, ads and ground troops to influence the outcome.
It was a frenetic end to a race that many had originally thought would be a cakewalk for Martha Coakley, the Democratic attorney general, since Massachusetts is an overwhelmingly Democratic state. But when polls showed that Scott Brown, the little-known Republican state senator running against her, had closed the gap or pulled ahead, officials from both parties, unions, business groups and others descended on the state.
More . . . (This is The New York Times article in Cape Cod Times face page of printed version and linked on homepage from their online site) ============================
The most remarkable of course is Metro Boston. No picture of candidates, rather a picture of a pensive President Obama, sitting down. They captured what people wanted to see.
