Hillary Clinton 'welcomed at Stansted Airport'

Stansted Airport welcomed the former first lady of America and current secretary of state Hillary Clinton to the UK.

Ms Clinton flew into Stansted Airport to attend a conference in the capital to talk about Yemen and Al Qaeda.

Also present at the talks were the United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, Gordon Brown and president of Afghanistan Karzai.

On the agenda was the issue of poverty in the region, which is said to encourage followers of terrorism groups.

She later flew back to the US from Stansted Airport on January 29th.
