Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday that Russia could sign up to a sanctions resolution on Iran, RIA news agency quoted a senior Putin aide as saying.

Putin's deputy chief of staff, Yuri Ushakov, was also quoted as saying that Putin warned Clinton during talks outside Moscow that sanctions were not always the best way to resolve problems, RIA reported.

Wow!  I am impressed.  They even had a cooperation stance on some matters with Iran. For them to agree, there was some serious influencing.
