Afghan President Hamid Karzai called Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday after the Obama administration expressed dismay at his assertion a day earlier that the international community was to blame for the controversy over last year’s disputed Afghan election.
State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said Karzai used the 25-minute call to clarify his remarks.
"President Karzai reaffirmed his commitment to the partnership between our two countries, and expressed his appreciation for the contributions and sacrifices of the international community," Crowley said, indicating that Clinton told Karzai that they should focus on common aims for stabilizing Afghanistan.
"They pledged to continue working together in a spirit of partnership," he said.
In case you all have not read it, Karzai has been putting US down in his communication in local language. "Foreigners" caused election fraud in Afghanistan. That's what he said. What a joke! He is a runaway train that is happy to use US - our tax money and our soldiers' blood and sweat.. but when we are done, he will turn right around and blame us, behind or right in front. That's what he is all about.
I am sure he heard an earful from Hillary in that call.

Wow, what a jackass. I'm sure Hillary probably wanted to hang up the phone on him, but fortunately, she is not juvenile and way too classy for something like that.
In fact, given how clever she is, I can see Hillary frustrating Karzai's nonsense by just repeating her thoughtful points and logic -- to that extent that he probably would have had to hang up the phone on her out of surrender lol -- but then of course, diplomat that she is, she forged a continued pledge of working together out of it.
Good job, Hillary. I don't know how she does it -- work with such idiots.
