Thanks, Jen. This makes the second time in a month, doesn't it? Go Hill!

First of all, we've already heard Hillary say she isn't interested in serving an additional term as SOS should (God forbid!) Obama get reelected. Nothing new there, right? But on MTP, they brought up the possibility that Hillary isn't going to finish out this term. She talked about how she loves her work, even though it's exhausting. It didn't sound like she's quitting tomorrow or next week or anything like that. But it did come up and Hillary did leave that particular door open.
She emphasized that she has absolutely no interested in joining the SCOTUS. She said she has never wanted to be a judge. I can believe it. It's not the same as Hillary saying she isn't interested in running for President-- we all know she was interested in it before and can become interested in it again.
Other hmmmm moments occured when they discussed issues like the Arizona illegal immigration law and the oil spill in the Gulf, which aren't really Hillary's responsibility. Indirectly, these issues affect her-- for example, she'll be meeting with the President of Mexico soon. But they aren't front-burner issues for a Secretary of State. Yet, she discussed them and she did so in a manner that would be suitable for the campaign trail. Hmmmm....
Woo Hoo!! Sounds promising. Not getting my hopes too hight - but still...
I had not heard about her possibly not finishing out the first term. She has talked abut how exhausting it is, and she has looked tired in a couple of recent pics I've seen, but OMG - who wouldn't be tired with that job.
I wonder how she really feels about the Israeli/Palestinian thing. I'll bet she has had some internal conflict about this.
I so hope she runs for POTUS. I don't blame her for not wanting to be scotus - it just doesn't seem like her cup of tea. And, as much as I hope she runs, I'll have to say, she has fulfilled her obligation to her country and her supporters, IMO. Few people - if any - could have dealt with that 2008 selection party, and coming off that experience, go to work for the O WH. That shows how much grit, guts, and class Hillary has. She's done herself and us proud.

Here's a transcript of what Hillary said about finishing her term as SOS:
QUESTION: Before you go, a question about whether you think its realistic that you will stay on as Secretary of State for the balance of the first term.
SECRETARY CLINTON: (Laughter.) Well, I intend to. Yeah, I intend to.
QUESTION: You do intend to?
SECRETARY CLINTON: Yeah. But I mean, people have been asking me this. And in the interest of full disclosure, it is an exhausting job. But I enjoy it. I have a great time doing it. I feel like were making a difference around the world, that Im a big believer in setting goals, having a vision of where were trying to get, but then trying to translate that into what we do today and what we do tomorrow. And weve made a lot of progress. We face incredibly difficult problems.
QUESTION: So you think youll stay for the whole first term?
SECRETARY CLINTON: Well, I think so. I think so. I mean, look, ask me next month and the month after that, but that certainly is my intention.
It just struck me how she went from "I intend to" to "I think so" to "ask me next month" in a matter of seconds. Plus, as I said before, it's weird that this even came up at all.
