Probably not, but then again, the apparatus is all in place according to the Politico piece ‘Hillary Clinton keeps a hand in politics.’ He supporters are still lying in wait, with millions of dollars cash on hand and ready to launch. Remember Hillary’s multiple millions in campaign debt? Almost all gone, except for several hundred thousand still owed to disgraced Hillary pollster Mark Penn. No doubt, many PUMAs hope Hillary never pays him back: among Penn’s ideas were playing down the historic feminist aspects of Hillary’s campaign and refusing to apologize for her Iraq War vote. Respectively, these mistakes allowed Obama to paint himself as the historic change candidate and to attack Hillary from the left, driving a wedge between the Clintons and the party’s liberal base. Safe to say Hillary 2012 is Obama’s worst nightmare – but a sweet dream for independents and left-leaning centrists.
