Here’s one less thing the Secret Service will need to worry about when Chelsea Clinton gets married this weekend.
“I was not invited to the wedding,” President Barack Obama said on ABC’s The View, airing Thursday, “because I think Hillary and Bill, properly, want to keep this thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband.”
And that’ll work out well for everybody at Saturday’s ceremony, he joked, MSNBC reports.
“You don’t want two presidents at one wedding!” Obama said. “All the secret service, guests going through (metal detectors), all the gifts being torn apart.”
I'd already known that 0 was going to the wedding, but not even invited???
Good question, Rachel. Even if he has spoken to her, I doubt if they've ever had a real conversation.
My sister did invite my mom's boss and his wife to her wedding, even though she barely knew the boss and hadn't met his wife. But my parents had been to the boss' daughter's wedding, so it was one of those reciprocal situations.
Actually he seems to be the only big celebrity that didn't have an attitude not like Striesand and Windfrey but for real this is Chelsea's day. I am glad she kept it to the Celebrities that she knows. Good for Chelsea
My dad plays the trombone in a couple of local jazz orchestras and tonight he had a wedding gig. No, it wasn't Chelsea's wedding, but my family were all joking about how Chelsea was really getting married in Pontiac, Michigan and everything in Rhineback was just a decoy to throw off the paparazzi.
