I received this email from the DSCC. It seems the mean Republicans are giving them a hard time - "making big investments on behalf of the Republicans". Notice, there's no explaination about the fact that the Dems under Obama's leadership have basically, destroyed their own chances of reelection. They have handed the midterms to the Pubs.
Karma's comin'.
THE RANT a publication of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
50 days. That's all we've got. We're in a battle for the Senate, and the stakes could not be higher. Republicans have said what they'll do if they retake power. Defund health care reform. Shut down stimulus projects. And use Republican-led legislative committees to investigate President Obama. Third-party groups - including Karl Rove's American Crossroads - are making big investments on behalf of Republicans. The only way we can stop them from retaking power is by having enough grassroots support from dedicated activists just like you.
National Snapshot: By the Numbers
26: The number of states where Republicans have already been on the air.
10: The number of states Republicans must win in order to retake the Senate.
15: The number of states where polls show Senate races within five points.
$400 million: The amount shady right-wing third-party groups plan to dump into races to help Republicans take back the Senate.
19: The number of shady right-wing third-party groups who've already spent money in support of Republican candidates.
$430,000: The amount of grassroots money we need to raise by the end of the week to fight back! 15 races are within five points. If we lose 10, we've lost the majority. It's only 50 days out, and the DSCC must raise $430,000 in grassroots donations by Saturday if we want to counter attacks against Barbara Boxer, Patty Murray and the rest of our candidates.

The Dems continue to email me asking for support. When I have time, I respond with a little rant of my own. Obviously, they never read them, but writing them is kinda therapeutic. lol. Posting one I wrote recently to JB Poersch, who emailed on behalf of DSCC.
My response: (The Dems always use only my first name in the greeting - some psychological trick (or so they think) no doubt, to imply that we're all part of the same group. I always use only their first names when responding - just to be sarcastic. I'm sure that's lost on them, but it makes me feel better). lol
JB, I'll engage in another exercise in futility, and respond to yet another plea from the Dems for support. Let me be clear. After the subversion of democracy perpetrated by the DNC in 2008, in pre-selecting Obama, who has already proven himself to be a failed president, I left the Dem Party. Turns out my instinct that the Dems had forsaken their female membership and the rights of women were spot-on, in view of the compromises made in the area of abortion rights and women's health, in order to pass Obama's so-called Health Care Reform. As far as I can tell, the Dems view of progress and reform always involve throwing women under the bus. So, you'll understand when I say that I don't give a damn whether every Democrat in the senate, congress, and especially, The One in the White House is tossed out of office.
Obviously, you people do not read the return emails, as I continue to receive them after repeatedly responding in the above manner, and requesting to be taken off the mailing list of the Party of Sexists. No problem. The exercise of expressing one's views in writing can be therapeutic. Again, let me clearly state - the Democratic Party has lost my support, and that of many other women throughout this country. You prefer to believe that it's the Pubs and the Tea Party who have damaged the Dems hold on government. You couldn't be more mistaken. Many, many people - former Dems - who recognize what went on in 2008, and are outraged by the ongoing sexism within the party, as well as the generally piss-poor job the Dems have done in the past two years, have left the party they supported for so many years.
But, as Donna Brazille said - there's a Dem base, now - young people who are passionate about Obama and the Dem Party, along with African-Americans of all ages . My suggestion to you is to seek support from the new base. Oh...wait. The Obamakids are no longer all that fired-up about their young, cool, guy. Too bad.
