Wow, that is some image. Our Pres. is ignoring his "friend", the elderly man with a cane, needs. Instead of helping him, he is strutting down the steps in front of him. Leaving his "friend" in the hands of that "stupid racist cop". With "friends" like that, who needs enemies?

This picture, which Rich noted yesterday, has gone around the world, and has been generally considered to be worth the proverbial thousand words, or a thousand White House beers. What I find oddest about the whole business is that it's an official White House photograph by an official White House photographer from the official White House website. So at some point some number of Obama flacks must have figured that this pic makes our guy look good: Are they so monarchically besotted they what most people find jarring about the shot is what the image boys actually like about it?
Perhaps there are too many such events happening and this was an opportune time for the WH staff to give the world an inkling on the insensitive One. What else could it be?

The police officer to the rescue--again. BHO has no sense of responsibility, easier to blame and criticize everyone else. Shows up good on this picture.
Every time we have a president people would like to "most have a beer with" we get deeper into trouble. I will never forget Anderson Cooper saying GWB was the guy you'd most want to have a beer with. The more things "change" the more they stay the same...meet the new boss...
Obama is a narcissist. Of course he didn't help Gates down the steps. He didn't think it would be a photo shown or played up. Had this one been planned he'd be carrying Gates on his shoulders in a big display of faked empathy for the crowds to bow to his holiness and to distract from his vapid, empty soulless doings.

In Communication and Conflict Resolution (an area of my expertise), both "thank you" and "let's go for bear" are often used as "shut out" clauses.
There is a conflict that you have generated and it requires serious addressing. Instead, you are ducking it, and giving a pleasant look and a final close out.
Here is the upshot from Conflict Resolution experience.
IT NEVER WORKS... especially when there are more than the immediate parties involved in the conflict.

OMG. This picture is worth a MILLION words. Crowley is concerned with helping, O-liar is concerned with...himself. I bet Bawhack was LIVID when he saw this photo, as it made him look terrible.
For some reason, I think Gates has learned a tremendous lesson from this whole experience. It may not last long, because he really has an entrenched viewpoint, but it will go deep, and maybe make the professor a little less racist.

Totally agree. We have seen - because we have eyes to see - what kind of person O-ineligible is. Can you imagine what it's like to "work" with him? They obviously want to the world to know what Barack is REALLY like.

I was reading looking for GOP perspective on Single Payer model on Healthcare when I came across many interesting stuff on Redstate including a character comparison to Pres.George W.Bush II. Go to Redstate [scroll down] to find preview of this article.
President Bush had no reason to even want to help Senator Byrd, who had spent much of his time in the Senate railing against the Bush administration, particularly on the war in Iraq, yet he helped the old man regardless.
Lovely contrast.
