Obama Must Condemn NY Times Race-Baiting Tactics, Black Group Says (CFP 8/9/09)

The Project 21 black leadership network is condemning New York Times liberal columnist Paul Krugman for scurrilously pinning racist motives on critics of President Obama’s health care proposals. The group is calling upon President Obama to condemn all efforts to derail legitimate public debate, specifically including this effort to stifle debate with race-baiting tactics.

“Paul Krugman is the one with race on the brain,” Project 21 Chairman Mychal Massie charged. “Specifically, he is using race in the lowest and most repulsive declinations. He is using it because every other argument to stem the growing tide of condemnation for the proposed health care reform bill has failed. Ergo, when all else fails, parade out the race card and attempt to incite blacks into becoming the useful idiots.”

“Opposition to the proposed health care bill isn’t based on race,” Massie added. “It is based on a people who are tired of Congress and the President spitting in their faces. It is the collective resolve of a people who are tired of being tread upon. One would think a Nobel prize-winner such as Krugman could figure that out.”



In his Times commentary, “The Town Hall Mob”, Krugman wrote:

[T]he driving force behind the town hall mobs is probably the same cultural and racial anxiety that’s behind the “birther” movement, which denies Mr. Obama’s citizenship… And cynical political operators are exploiting that anxiety to further the economic interests of their backers.

Does this sound familiar? It should: it’s a strategy that has played a central role in American politics ever since Richard Nixon realized that he could advance Republican fortunes by appealing to the racial fears of working-class whites.

Many people hoped that last year’s election would mark the end of the “angry white voter” era in America. Indeed, voters who can be swayed by appeals to cultural and racial fear are a declining share of the electorate.

I agree with all the talk of the race card being played by the liberal media as well as Obots most of whom are not black and it would appear know nothing of racism or what its like to face discrimination.  Most of these idiots are white males.
African Americans are going to get real sick of that and watch how those liberals turn against African Americans then.

That is the stupidest, most chicken-$#!t thing I've ever heard, especially coming from Paul Krugman.  This is ALL they've got - really?

I hope the end of this silly season is around the corner...

Millions of brilliant black men and women, and they have to pick one of the least qualified, not to mention ineligible.  Go figure.  I think THAT'S racist!  What the hell were they (the Creepy Corporate Cabal) thinking?  Was Barack just the right amount of slimy?

We want to see Obama's long-form birth certificate NOW!

This is EXACTLY what I mean! They did nothing but, pander to race and that ought to be an insult to African Americans!! You treat people as your EQUAL you do not pander that's insulting to people!!

 

And yes, they will turn on him because they didn't know or care to know what they were voting on in the first place. When you vote on something as shallow as skin color you might end up getting what you didn't want. Do they not think that under the skin we are all the same people?? I don't think they do!! Also, most of those rich, elitists have no idea what it means to be poor or have anything against you at all growing up in the U.S.A...many of them haven't had ONE damned road block of any real significance in their lives.  I don't understand why some black people think these idiots care one little bit about their situations in the U.S.A...they don't care anymore than Obama does!! Obama is an elitist. And the uber rich very rarely give a damn about the real suffering of anybody else.

 

Obama never went without, he was not poor, he was given every break life can offer, then he puts on his FAKED "African American" voice when he is talking to certain groups and it makes me want to wretch. He may not be afraid of all the terrible things he is doing but, karma and his god are gonna get him one day and the truth WILL rise to the top!!
