College Credit for Pushing Obama's Agenda

I received an email at my University of Oregon account today informing me that there are “intern opportunities with Organizing for America,”
formerly Obama for America. According to the email, OFA is launching
what it calls the “National Organizing Internship” for college students
around the country. From the email:

Organizing Interns work side by side with OFA staff and community
leaders to help build support for President Obama's agenda. They will
learn core organizing principles that are crucial for any campaign.

President Obama describes his time as a community organizer by
saying: "It was the best education I ever had, because I learned in
those neighborhoods that when ordinary people come together, they can achieve extraordinary things."

This is your chance to get that same education.

If you're passionate about making sure every American has quality
health care, reviving our economy, and building a clean energy future,
don't miss this great opportunity. No previous experience is needed in
order to apply.

Wow we need to be on high alert, it seems as if the Obama administration is systemically targeting our youngest adults (voters) to be "community organizers" the Chicago thug way.

As a mother of close to college age kids, this is all making me very wary. I don't know where we're going to send our kids after high school anymore. I'm beginning to think they should stay at home. We are fortunate to have many great colleges/universities nearby and they can commute to one of them. Than we can keep an eye on the school we are paying BIG $$$'s to and make sure our kids are receiving an education and not an indoctrination.

On one level, this stuff is VERY scary and needs to be stopped.

But on another level, this and ACORN indicates that 0 can't get enough people to join his cause unless they're paid or bribed or get some type of candy. They don't believe enough in his cause to go out there, roll up their sleeves, and get dirty for the sake of the cause itself.

This may be a dumb question, but has anyone ever gone into the Chicago neighborhoods to see how "that one" did at "organizing" there to make things better?

He is recruiting our youth to brainwash the ones he didn't get during the phoney primary. This is scary stuff.

Ya, Shadow, worked in those neighborhoods for over 30 years. I know what that fraud did. BHO is getting desperate, like he did in the primaries.

Let's hope our youth are determined to get an education rather than fall for this crap.

I'm surprised a college puts up with this. What the hell are they thinking? Time for parents to stand up, but again OR is more radical and they did vote for BHO.

O always has gone after the young. They are far more impressionable and easily swayed than folks who have had a few years of 'real' life under their belts.

O did nothing for Chicago except leave his district in worse condition than it was when he came there...
