I watched because I knew she would be there with Bill.   I thought it strange that another
Sec. of State from Italy was mentioned, but not Hillary in that particular speech.

They, the Clinton's are gracious as always.

I didn't watch it.  While I am sorryfor  the Kennedy family, after 2008 Ted was dead to me already. I know that's totally inappropriate and disrespectful to say, but I just don't care.  When I think of him, I think of seeing his face, right behind or beside Obama's in every televised appearance O made.  I've had less than no respect for him since that time.  And while I'm sorry when another human suffers and dies - regardless of who that person is, the fact that it was Ted Kennedy means little to me.  I knew they would treat Hillary with veiled contempt, or a deliberate snub at that funeral- just as Obama always has, and I just didn't want to see it.

I do not feel so sorry for the Kennedys just the ones that don't think they can and should get away with murder and rape.  I am sorry but I spent my entire life watching the Kennedys get away with murder literally.  Mary Jo, then the one nephew Smith raped one woman and got away with it so he rapes another one and then the last time was the cousin who killed that young girl in 1975.  I am sorry but these people got away with serious crime and they get a funeral benefit a king. I am so sorry he is one of the guilty ones.  The woman I find myself thinking about is Mary Jo even though that happened when I was a little girl when it happened I remember the 1980 Presidential Primary.  I am outraged by this. It may have been an accident but he never even tried to save her just himself.
Then to watch it play out again and again with different family members its time to start putting these folks in jail.

I understand how you feel free spirit, and agree about the snubbing. It was Bill who was warmly greeted by Obama. What really got to me was how they used the pulprit in their concerns for the poor, and for peace. Not to mention using the little fella (grandson) to talk about health care.

From what I heard, the Obamas really snubbed Jimmy Carter and were cold and distant to the Bushes as well as Hillary - Bill was whispering something to Obama, and the Clintons got along the best with Laura and George W Bush. This is the only pic I can find of this:

Notice the caption of the second pic Amy posted "Bill Clinton talks to Pres. Obama while HILLARY CLINTON LOOKS ON." Now maybe I'm being too sensitive, but that seems like just another little jab at Hill. Maybe it was not even done consciously, but - one more time, Bill sounds like the top dog, while Hill is presented as the onlooker. Before O took office, all the press tried to twist Bill's statements and make him look either "too Protective" of Hillary, or "out of touch". Now, since she's SOS to the SOB, when Hill and Bill are together, he always seems to be the focus. Sexism - even if unintended and unconscious - which, as we know, much sexism is.

Because of their "name", wealth, and "who they are/were", the Kennedy's were able to get away with what the ordinary person would not be able . . .

Kennedy's endorsement of Obama, was one of the key parts to Obama's election; therefore, he is directly responsible for the mess our country is in now.  The Kennedy's are/were elitist who believe(d) they knew what was best for the country.

The msm tried to make Ted Kennedy seem human, with cute and fuzzy stories, as told by his elitist friends . . .

Yes so agree -so done with the Kennedy's after last year and what they did supporting the false one and not the BEST PERSON for the JOB of PRESIDENT and then TK's shennanigans trying to get Carolyn in somewhere before he died and he even tried again in MA to get the law he had chg's when it looked like Kerry would be president and that would leave an opening the Mitt Romney could have assigned he had the law chg'd so the GOV could not do that and just before his death he tried to undo that so DUVALL could assign someone...well I think most of the MA diehards read between that line thank goodness!!

I just do not understand the snubbing against the Clintons and how odd the snubbing against Carter after all his undying support of BHO -goodness gracious!

I hope nothing bad from this horrid adm will be flicked onto to HILLARY in anyway...still hopeful... and looking foward to when things might change and especially for the 2010 elections... we need new blood for sure!

I wondered about why he would snub Carter, as well, MJoy. BTW - so glad to see you.

Please remember that not ALL Kennedys supported FOTUS... there was an entire group of Bobby's kids who supported HRC. When FOTUS got through the primaries via ACORN, this group of Kennedys were "too busy" to hit the road for FOTUS. We must remember this... RFK, jr was the one who stopped the whole crap about HRC trying to incite violence against FOTUS.

Please Remember that not ALL Kennedys supported FOTUS! I stood right next to them at an HRC rally!

I believe that RFK's kids are more for Bill and Hill.

George W respects Bill.  Remember, George W's mom really likes Bill, so there's a kinship there.
