Go,Hillary!,Go!
Game changer if it happens..
The Weekly Standard
Michael Goldfarb reports : The boss hears from two sources that Hillary Clinton is considering stepping down as Secretary of State this fall in order to run for Governor of New York.
Could Barry have a challenger in 2012.
If so Team Clinton will play to win this time.

I would not be surprised.  If she does intend to challenge Obama in 2012, she must start distancing herself from him.  And, she needs to do it now.  If she stays as SOS, she doesn't stand a chance.  Just my opinion.

I don't want to get my hopes up.  I would love to have her as my Governor.  If she won (and I would back her 100%) she would be NY's first woman Gov.

This is a cruel joke if someone made this up.

Patterson is very very unpopular here.  I believe that any person running against him can win.

I too would love HRC as my Governor, but I had full intentions of voting Republican this time around no matter who was the Democrat's candidate. This would be tough. On one hand I don't want to give Obama anymore "wins" or allies in any part of any Government, and certainly not my home state; New York. However, if given the chance to vote for HRC again, how could I not?  confuse

Hmmmmmmm......very interesting. We'll have to see what happens. In the short time she has been SoS she has been very effective AND her approval ratings very high (higher than Oasshat's). Would people view her as a quitter if she stepped down? Would becoming Governor of NY be more beneficial to a presidential run in 2012 than being SoS? Lots of questions here that remain to be answered. How I would love to see her run in 2012 and there is that part of me that still would love to see her VP running mate be Sarah Palin. What an UNSTOPPABLE ticket!!! But, can you imagine the hatred, misogyny, and outright attacks that would be leveled against them? I shudder to think of it.

Guess we'll have to see what happens.

Yeah, I've heard this rumor, too, and that she wanted to decide by the 15th of the month. She would have to overcome a vicious MSM and the GOP is looking much healthier these days, but I think she could prevail to become governor of New York. I think she would make a fine one, as SoS she's too accountable to that twit Obama.

As for any future presidential aspirations, I think O will be the last senator anybody will want to put up for quite some time - being the governor of a state is like being a mini-POTUS, especially in a big state like NY.

I kind of wondered about this when Hillary went to the NY 400 celebration and then spoke to the kids at the NY charter school. The SOS doesn't do those types of events, but a politician running for office does.

Just sayin'...

Nothing would make me happier than Our Girl setting herself up to run in 2012 or 2016 but I'm not sure I'm ready to believe that she is going to step down from SOS.

Have you EVER seen her not finish what she has started....even once. NOPE!

Until it comes from the LADY herself I'm afraid I have to see this as rumor.

Well. I guess time will tell, but the NY Post has this again today:

Hillary Clinton is said to be frustrated with her lack of authority as secretary of state and resentful of the glacial pace of the White House vetting process. "President Obama's picks fly in even if they didn't pay their taxes. But her picks take forever," noted one Democrat. "Plus, she has no real clout over Holbrooke or Mitchell." Richard Holbrooke is Obama's "special representative" for Afghanistan and Pakistan. George Mitchell is "special envoy" to the Middle East. Clinton is said to be considering quitting to retake her old US Senate seat now held by Kristin Gillibrand -- or running for governor, as one rumor has it. "Her argument will be that Gillibrand is in danger of losing the seat to the Republicans," said a source. But Gillibrand won't voluntarily step aside, unlike Rep. Nita Lowey, whom Clinton nudged out of the race in 2000. "You couldn't blow Gillibrand out of that seat with dynamite," said our source. Clinton's rep did not get back to us by deadline.

Good point and that is what I am thinking.  She didn't pick a health care event but education. I am thinking she is thinking 2012

Yeah, it could be she's making some steps toward 2012, choosing highly visible public events that are safe politically. She ought to do some US-Canada event here in Michigan-- it would be appropriate for her as SOS and we Michiganders didn't get to see Hillary at all during last year's campaign.

Maybe she knows something and is waiting for the right time. Maybe she knows the fraud is going down (because she maybe has knowledge we don't) and is timing it to distance herself from him without appearing to be a quitter. Running for governor would be a good way to break free of those crooks, and if the fraud goes down, she will be out of there.

just a guess,,,,

The stories about her run for NY governor could be true as when she stepped down from the Senate there was talk that she was going to sell her house here in Westchester and that has not happened.

Paterson is very unpopular and the Republicans are touting Guiliani for governor. It could be a very interesting race.

If the following is true - and at this point I'm not sure - it would be wise for our girl Hill to get away from O-balrog as far and as fast as possible (the following is from www.repubx, and is all in quotes):

Is Judge Carter Granting Expedited Discovery of Obama's records Immediately?

by DefendUSx September 10, 2009 23:10

Unsure if this is 100% true, but a credible source through "patriot" circles claims to have talked with Orly recently. See below:

I just got this from stopxspp. Jeff Schwilk, founder of the San Diego Minutemen, who is
close to Orly Taitz and Gary Kreep. So I am confident it is true.

Jeff;

I just talked to Orly:

She has 2 good news items that she is very busy with right now:

1. Judge Carter is ‘giving her expedited discovery - immediately’.

2. Judge Land will allow her to present before the court in GA. She is leaving now to fly to GA to appear before Judge Land at the Federal Building in Columbus, GA at 2:00 pm tomorrow (Friday, 9/11/09).

She would like as many military supporters to be there as possible. I called Carl Swensson (RiseUpForAmerica.com), and he will see what he can do. If you have any contacts there, please advise them.

Neil

This is exciting! Takes me right back to 1999 when she declared she was running for Senator after her listening tour of NY. It was such a historic moment, as she was the first First Lady (since Roosevelt, right?) to step out and run for higher office.

I so admired her hard work ethic, and how she won over upstate voters. Hillary is a natural leader and a winner. I think it would be fitting for her to be NY's first woman governor.

I really have a hard time thinking she would go all out to become governor just to turn around and challenge Obama for the 2012 nomination. Maybe 2016 ? Against President Palin smile.gif

This article I found this morning certainly adds credence to your intel..

I'm really starting to like this idea.  It give HRC a graceful way out of Obama's administration while still keeping her a Democrat "team player".  As NY Governor she would add Executive experience to her list of credentials, while keeping her far away from DC and the Obama White House so when the ****-hits-the-fan.... she will stay clean (biggrin).  Setting her up nicely for a primary challenge of Obama in 2012 or Biden (ugh confuse) in 2016. wink.gifsmile

NEWS

Adams Not Taking Paterson at His Word About 2010

Eric_Adams_0.jpg
Eric Adams

ALBANY—Yesterday, I asked State Senator Eric Adams if he would say he supports David Paterson for election as governor in 2010.

"What I could say is I don't support anyone else. Right now, the way I'm viewing it is that he's the governor, I'm 100 percent behind him right now because I believe that we need to be united as a state right now, so I'm 100 percent behind him, and once he makes a determination about what he's going to do next year then I can make that determination on what I'm going to do," Adams said. Paterson has consistently said publicly that he's running in 2010. I brought this to Adams' attention.

"I don't think he has reached a point yet where he has to say he is not going to run or he is going to run," he replied. "I don't think he's there yet, because we're in September. He needs to look at the polls, he needs to look at how well he can unify the state and he has to make that determination. So I'm not at the point yet where I believe he shouldn't run, and I've never taken that position, and I'm not at that point yet."

Adams and other Democrats in the State Senate traded barbs with Paterson toward the end of a month-long stalemate in that chamber--Adams accused Paterson of selling "woof-tickets."

I don't know... If whatever's in those records is enough to get 0 removed from office, Hillary would be wise to stay put. Depending on how the dominoes fall, she could end up as Joe Biden's veep (not a glamorous job, but he would almost have to ask her and we'd need her there to provide stability) or even as POTUS if Biden and Pelosi are found to be complicit in the coverup.

If your theory proved out and HRC became Biden's (ugh) VEEP -- than they both would be voted out in the next election, making it impossible for HRC to be EVER elected to ANYTHING EVER again.  No, no, no  IMHO she needs to get away from Obama's administration even more so if your theory is correct.

The reason it would be advantageous for Hillary to be Biden's veep is because as SOS she cannot campaign or raise $$$ for herself. But as veep, she would be pretty much running for POTUS the entire time. Biden wouldn't run for reelection in 2012; he's too old. If 0 lasts long enough to run in 2012, I fully expect him to replace Biden with some young un that nobody has ever heard of.

Whether or not Hillary can overcome whatever political damage she might suffer from being affiliated with the 0 administration is up to her-- and to a large extent, it's up to us. We can go all out and campaign for her in 2012, or we can sit at home and do nothing like the Republicans last year. If they had supported their own candidate, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. Some pundits have said that Bush messed things up so badly that the American people weren't going to vote for any candidate with an R next to his name and there was nothing McCain could do about it, but that isn't what happened at all. Enough PUMAs crossed over to vote for McCain that he could have won if his own party faithful had bothered to show up at the polls.

On a personal level, though, there are times when I would like to see Hillary leave the 0 administration. But at the same time, I admire the work she is doing as SOS, especially what she's doing for the women of this world, and I would hate to see her give that up.
