Don't know about you guys, but for me, autumn is the best season of the year. I guess a lot of it has to do with holidays coming one after another, kids going back to school, and just a lot of fun things to do. The heat goes away, and you can bundle up on a cool night, or just enjoy the fresh air outside. What's not to like?
Here's a song called "Autumn." It's kind of sad, but it's the only one I could think of that deals specifically with the season. The melody is quite beautiful!
I'll come back and post some fall-y photos. Feel free, if anyone else wants to!

Honestly, I thought that you were going to say that you love Autumn because January and Obama's court date is that much closer. LOL!
Anyway I love the change of seasons. Autumn is so beautiful, with the anticipation of the holidays. Winter is the time of solace and thinking. Spring is beautiful and a reprieve from the onslaught of winter. And of course good old summer is the time for getting outside.

Anna, I don't know HOW you could think that! Glad you liked the song. Kind of haunting, but in a very pretty way.
Thought this was a good pic:

Autumn doesn't reach here until around late october/november. The humidity eases off and the temps go down into the 70's during the day.
We don't get the changing of the colors of leaves because all we have are pines and palm trees.
We do get cold snaps in winter, and I do not like them. I am not used to cold and we all complain when the cold fronts push down here. Here, the "winter clothes" are out in the stores - hoodies and sweats.
It sometimes only gets into the 50's during the day when a cold front makes it to here. The snowbirds laugh at us when they see us wearing hoodies and shivering, while they are in short sleeves.
I love Autumn.... apple picking, leaf piles, kaleidoscope of colors in the trees, cool crisp air, and the smells of soup on the stove, fresh baked bread, and pies in the oven.

Now you went ahead and did it Now Optix is going to go nuts. LOL

You know HMG of course I went ahead and found that photo just for Optixmom. I knew she would be drooling over it.

I cal totally relate to that last paragraph (well, all four, actually). When we lived up north, it would get up to 40 degrees once in a while during the cold season, and we'd put on shorts! Here, if it got that cold, I'd be bringing out my full length wool coat!
