I hope the Republicans take control of that congress and we get that balance of power that we need.  Lets see how President Obama handles that huge blow to his large ego.

It may also bring about a much-needed power shift within the Democratic Party.

1000% agree.... no politcal party should have complete control of the exec. and leg. branches...

if it was moderate dems like Hillary, she would have compromised, and governed as a centerist... but even then I think if one party controls the exec, the other should control the legs.

yes, there is more gridlock.. but then there are NO extremes... frankly I am more scared of the looney radical left than I am of the extreme right..... the loony lefties hate this country... the extreme righties love this country...

and yes.. I am rooting for the repubs... I am planning on voting all repubs next year, doesn't matter who is on the ballot.

With all due respect, ssmith, and not trying to pick a fight:  It seems to be that Republicans are as willing to look the other way as Democrats are, even in the face of the most heinous actions on the part of o-ineligible.  My strategy is going to be to vote out the incumbents.  Obviously those in power have impaired ethics, no matter which party they come from.

I agree Alex, that the Republicans have little more to be proud of than the Dems. Hopefully, someday, we'll have a serious third option. But, for now, I think the Dems need to be taught a serious lesson about their handling of 2008, particularly the taking of Hill's votes to give to 0. Unless the Dem running stood by Hillary, I plan to work against them. I think they need to learn that their own actions have resulted in party losses.

As far as I am concerned there is no longer a democratic party. It
is now the socialist party. I refuse to support any of them until they get back to their roots.

I intend to work for every republican I can. I don't agree with a lot of their agenda but I know they will NEVER sell this country out and turn it into just one more third rate socialist country and a member of this new world order bull****. They understand freedom, protecting our rights, and keeping people safe from extreme whackjobs who kill in the name of religion.

Sure we have religious nuts here, but not one wants to blow up entire nations just for being "not them".

Evey female in this country needs to keep in mind that if the islam crazies get their way (and obama leans in their favor), we all will be beheaded for wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

As far as I see it we won't see a Republican surge and we'll definetly not see a "1994" all over again.

The Republicans will maybye gain some 25-30 seats in the House. Not more but maybye less.
I've no clue about the senat but I'll throw in a wild guess: It will be 54-46.
