There's some of the usual Hillary-is-marginalized talk, but I thought y'all would want to read this because, well, it's abous us:
It's tempting for some Beltway players to presume Clinton's greatest prospects are behind her. Tempting, but hardly assured.
Clinton's coalition is the sleeping giant of American politics. No other national politician, save Obama, has proven able to raise as much money. Much of her base was, like Obama, also loyal for deeper reasons than politics. This is doubly true for the Democratic women who were, and still are, personally invested in Clinton's almost-historic presidency. It's no coincidence that Clinton is on the cover of Parade magazine this week.
Clinton remains the second most prominent Democrat in the country. Her approval rating is higher than her boss, according to Gallup. But to be fair, Obama is the one getting dirtied in domestic politics.
Seems there's increasing speculation about a possible Hillary presidential run in the future. How wonderful it would be if this happened. I'm curious to know if anyone else thinks it's a little odd that this question seems to be increasingly mentioned. I mean, with the King securely on his oval office throne, which he obviously expects to occupy for the next seven years and 2 months, seems like there would be more speculation about a Repub candidate in 2012 (maybe people assume there is not a Repub who could defeat the O machine) than on the next Dem candidate. Maybe there's a growing sense that Americans will just have to hunker down, ride out the O years, and hope for as little damage as possible. Maybe Hope and Change exposed to the cold light of day are revealed to be just more BS - piled higher and deeper. Maybe people are really recognizing that Hill should have been the POTUS in the first place.
If this talk is a reflection of Obama buyer's remorse, and lots of people begin to seriously discuss this question, we need to be ready to leap into action. We need to be prepared with facts and figures about Hill's accomplishments. We need to repeatedly point out that Hillary was willing to put the 2008 primary aside, and serve this country as requested by Obama. When the sexists start to hurl their insults, we need to be ready with a consistent message - sexist slurs and misogyny will not be tolerated this time around. We protested in 2008, but we need to be prepared to raise all manner of hell if the misogyny starts (or continues) again.
I know - rambling. But I do think we need to think through some action steps and be prepared to respond each time an article about this appears. We need to begin to focus - not on what O hasn't done, when responding/commenting, but on all that Hill has done.
Just food for thought.

I agree that we need some plan of action, both short-term and long-term. For now, I'll just throw out some ideas for short-term plans-- please feel free to add to these:
Short term 1. Stay in touch with your fellow PUMAs; try to coordinate between the various PUMA groups. 2. Tweet/post/blog positive news about Hillary. 3. Keep fighting against sexism. 4. Join the Tea Partiers if you think it will help knock 0 off his pedestal, but remember not to get too cozy with those folks because they are NOT Hillary supporters. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is only going to work for so long.
Great suggestions, Jen. Since MSM gives Hillary work little coverage, Blogging about the her efforts as SOS would help get the word to the public. I'm constantly surprised at how little people know about what's going on in this country related to Obama and some of the issues we discuss daily. I'm sure they have no clue about the excellent job Hill is doing.

The print media (not necessarily the US print media) is covering Hillary's work as SOS fairly well. The problem is, most folks will only see these articles if they are specifically looking for them. And the televised media sucks, to put it bluntly. I tuned into Fox News this afternoon and they didn't say anything about Hillary being in Pakistan, although they did mention the bombing.
We have to stop the infighting which means we are going to have to rewelcome those that switched from Hillary to Obama if they are loyal to Hillary. I know a girl who is very loyal to Hillary yet she voted for Obama because Hillary told her too. She doesn't blog for Obama or even like him much she gets called an Obot and I think that is wrong. I don't agree with her choice last year but it is what it is. We want our girl to become President then we need to accept our "sister" and "brothers" no matter who they voted for in the GE
