TOPIC: The World Series: The Hillary Clinton Coalition Versus The Barack Obama Coalition, Part I (Hillaryis44) 11-02-09
Hillary is 44 is still on a roll. It will definitely be interesting to see how the elections turn out tomorrow. BO has alrady tried to mitigate any blame for a Dem loss, with the white house, in an unprecedented move, criticizing a Dem candidate BEFORE the election. By blaming Deeds for losing ground because of mishandling his campaign, Obama's folks thought they had made sure that a Deeds loss would not be blamed on Obama's diminishing clout. It's gonna be interesting.
This is a very long article at Hillary is 44. I only posted the first couple of paragraphs. Link to the article is posted if you want to check it out.
The World Series:The Hillary Clinton Coalition Versus The Barack Obama Coalition, Part I It’s not a game, but in politics the day to tally contest results is election day. Tomorrow is election day in the United States and we will see the first results in the contest between the Republican Party versus the Obamination Party (formerly the great Democratic Party which once represented the working class and the middle class). We will also measure the new “situation comedy” coalition which Barack Obama and his Hopium addled minions declared would “harden” into a permanent “transformational” majority. We will also compare that Obamination coalition with the FDR coalition which Hillary Clinton wielded to victory after victory even as Dimocratic leaders insisted Obama was the one for them. Today, and tomorrow, and on Wednesday we will look at Tuesday’s nation-wide elections in the United States and map out the historic mistake the Democratic Party made when it gifted Obama the nomination and rejected the winning, and filled with growth potential, Hillary Clinton coalition.
It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union.... Men, their rights and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less. ~Susan B. Anthony

I know. Hillary is 44 has remained a fighter - never failing to hold Obama accountable.
This election provokes a lot of conflicting feelings for me. I mean, I do want the Dems to lose - call it revenge, call it karma, call it accountability, or call it just plain bitter. But, I would love to see the Dem candidates get their back-sides kicked into the middle of next week - proving to the world that The One really is just a zero. At the same time - the NY 23 race causes some real ambivalence- for me, at least. While I'm glad Sarah had the clout to swing votes from DeDe to Hoffman, eventually forcing DeDe out of the race, at the same time, DeDe would have been a better person for the job. Had she been a man, would the white male Repubs have defected so quickly? Would they have fought harder for him than they did DeDe? As a moderate Repub, she would have been better for the country than Hoffman, a staunch conservative, IMO. I think Palin may have proven her "rogueness" to the Repubs, but she didn't earn any points with some of us, who would actually like to support her.
Oh well, those things will work themselves out - or not. We'll have to accept the outcomes. But, I feel that Sarah made a mistake in her choice. Lately, I've been thinking more and more about how stupid the Repub leaders are NOT to reach out more to the moderate Dems, Indys and PUMAs. They know we worked our butts off for McCain. Yet, whether they are organizing Tea Parties or pushing a particular candidate, they fail to reach out to the moderate Dems, disenfranchised Dems, former Dems, PUMAs, etc.
I have emailed a number in the Repub party to let them know that if they would stop hacking at Hillary and other women at every opportunity, be inclusive of the Dems who would like to see Obama exposed and those who want a more balanced house and senate, they could count on the help of many of us to help elect moderate Repubs. No word as yet from them - not surprisingly.
As much as I want to see the Dems learn a huge, well-deserved lesson, I'll be damned if I'll embrace the likes of Hannity, Laura Ingram, O'reilley, and Rush to help teach them. Hannity never - I MEAN NEVER - misses a chance to slam "Hillary" - never even referring to her by title, or with any level of respect for that matter. Plus, IMO, he is making a joke of the Tea Party movement with his stupid cowboy wannabe attitude. Singing syrupy country music like some never-was country star makes him look just ridiculous, IMO.
Oh well - no need to go into that now. I do hope we can have a good, rousing discussion during election returns tonight. Hope everyone will be at HW tonite.

The only way we have to try to put a stop to this socialist bullsh*t is by kicking every democrat out that we can. I don't even think there is a democratic party anymore, but socialist party. Really, how many dems have stood up to pelosi and obama and this communism?? none. nada.
I believe this is exactly why pelosi and obama are trying so hard to shove through this nightmare obamacare now, before 2010, because they know they are going to lose their lock.
