David Miliband had a spring in his step after Hillary Clinton's compliments: Sketch (UK Telegraph 11/24/09)

When I read that Vogue article, I just knew the British press would have a field day with Hillary's comments about David Miliband. So here t'is:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/6638202/David-Miliband-had-a-spring-in-his-step-after-Hillary-Clintons-compliments-Sketch.html

Hillary Clinton, the American Secretary of State, recently declared, when teased for developing a crush on the Foreign Secretary because of his British accent: “Well, if you saw him it would be a big crush. I mean, he is so vibrant, vital, attractive, smart.”

The British press tends, in its curmudgeonly way, to be less complimentary about Mr Miliband, and to pour scorn on the idea that he could ever develop a special relationship with such an alarming woman as Mrs Clinton, who is 18 years older than him and a lot more powerful.

But as Mr Miliband took his place for the foreign affairs debate on the Queen’s Speech, we thought we could detect a spring in his step, as if this latter-day James Bond reckons he has successfully upheld British interests in his dealings with the Secretary of State.

The rest of the article has to do with UK politics.
