You hit the nail on the head with this article, hmg. You're right about the fact that we, the people, are in control. The DNC violated the will of the party members, 18 million of whom wanted Hillary Clinton to be the nominee. When even the rigged caucus votes couldn't pull it out for Obama, they took Hillary's votes away. Not a soul who runs on the Dem ticket deserves to win. I understand that a third party candidate will find it tough to win. But, change (not Obama's pie in the sky kind) is painful. Growth is chaotic. If the country would throw out the ineffective, unethical officials every time, regardless of party, eventually, the politicians would get the message. They have to earn our votes. They don't deserve them because they are affiliated with a particular party. Maybe, then we would have more true Independents - not just Pubs or Dems.
I'm prepared to try to vote every Dem out of office, and then, when the Republicans take over, do as we did in 2008, and vote them the hell out too if and when they screw things up.

That's how I feel its time the American people force both Parties to do what the American people want not what the politicans think we need and that we will come around to it. I think we know just as well as they know what we need. I say keep the ones that listen and throw the rest of the bums out.
Unfortunately, I don't think this race will wake the Dems up no matter which way it turns out. They are already threatening reconciliation to pass health care if Coakley loses.
Stubbornness and arrogance seem to be the Democratic hallmark. If they would just stop breaking arms in order to dominate the Blue Dogs perhaps they would produce something the people could support.
They are out of touch with the people and need an attitude adjustment.
I hear ya HMG, good article. The problem with the dems is they couldn't get anything done in 2006, and here they are failing once more. Obama, can't take small steps, no, he's got to take the giant steps, and it doesn't matter who's back he steps on getting there. Most people do want health reform, why couldn't they just do incements? We all approve of getting rid of the pre conditioning terms when it comes to health care. Why couldn't the dems take time to get this right? And then they allowed women's health issues to be rationed, and played us as the political football. They also played on the elderely with medicare. It's like these people who are disabled and elderely are having a hard time, and the DEMS don't know it, these people are the ones who can't get back on their feet, and it's hard. Yet the dems stepped all over them.
When our Country, and our Health Care is already in a tragic & poor situation, they just went and make it worst. I'm not surprised, because I have seen what they done during the primaries, it's the ususal way for them, I am ashamed of my own party.
Ok, I am on the phone..................what I am seeing is that more women than men are voting for Martha (that's to be expected as there are more females than males, and they tend to be democrats rather than republicans).
But as expected, it's Sunday and the answering machines are turned out, and not to mention that I had many hang ups...............likely because Robo calls from Obama, and Clinton, and repeated calls, and because it's kick off time Dallas Vs. Minn.
Thank you I am torn on Martha I may join you in making calls but I am on the fence. I hate to see a Clintonista go down but I want the damn Dems to wake up and get rid of this thing.
