Menino: Coakley opponents want Obama to fail

By Associated Press
Sunday, January 17, 2010 -

BOSTON — Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has told a largely black congregation that if Democrat Martha Coakley loses the U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts, it will be a victory for people who want President Barack Obama to fail.

Coakley, who’s Massachusetts’ attorney general, is in a tight race against Republican Scott Brown. The special election Tuesday is being held to fill the seat left vacant by the death of U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy.

Menino appeared with Coakley at a Sunday morning prayer service in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood for victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Coakley praised Obama for trying to lead the nation to a brighter future. Menino was more blunt. He said a Brown victory would imperil Obama’s agenda.

More . . .

That figures Considering that millions voted for Obama because he appealed to blacks,
hispanics and Indians.............then he doesn't put these people living in poverty on his agenda..........none of them do.

The mayor is worried about Obama. John (reporting for duty) Kerry is worried about "fulfilling Ted Kennedy's dream". The Dems need to worry about the American people - if they want to get Dems elected. People don't want their version of health care reform. We want a decent piece of bi-partisan legislation, crafted in the light of day with the transparency that Obama promised. We're tired of the back-room dealing. We're tired of being double crossed. We're afraid of the massive debt the Dems have already buried us under.

If the Dems won't listen to the people, now, maybe they'll listen when they're on the way out the door.

BTW - I now have a PUMA as my avatar, as you can see.  I put it there to remind myself that PUMA represents my interest - not the Democrats.
