In a letter to supporters, Rick Santorum reportedly wrote that he is "considering putting my name in for the 2012 presidential race," citing concerns over President Obama's purported "single-minded pursuit of a radical domestic agenda" and that "the Obama Administration buried its head in the sand and has turned a blind eye towards several major threats to our country." From the letter:
You see, two years ago, candidate-Barack Obama sold our country a false bill of goods.
And now we're paying a heavy, heavy price.
Enough is enough.
That's why I hope you'll join me today to lay the groundwork for taking back our country.
I promise you, I will stop at nothing when it comes to defending our freedom and our values.
That's the real reason why - after talking it over with my wife Karen and our kids - I am considering putting my name in for the 2012 presidential race.
And I'd like to know what you think about this - so please share your thoughts by rushing the attached "2010 Launch" reply back to me right away!
sorry, don't like the man... wayyyyyy too conservative.. and the problem is I really couldn't care less if they are sociallly conservative as long as they don't GOVERN as a very social conservative. (or a social liberal)
I think people want conservative values when it comes to things like fiscal policy, national security policy, but they want to be left alone when it come to social issues. and frankly most people are social moderates, they are not extremes.
This is why I really like Sarah, she is way more social conservative than I am, but I looked at her record as AK governor, she didn't go into any policy that tried to move the state socially conservative, heck she even had no issue appointing the first female to the AK supreme ct who was a planned parenthood borad of director, she looked at the candidate's qualification and judged her on those qualifications.
But sarah was fiscally conservative and VERY against corruption, which I 100% support.
If the repubs are stupid enough to put rick santorum, THEY ARE STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
repubs... pick sarah, she is the only one who can beat that Marxist in the WH!!!
I am good with fiscally conservative but most certainly would want a socially moderate to liberal. No fudging on that. I will look for serious record on that.
Women's rights are VERY HARD EARNED in this country. Cannot let loose an inch of ground on that. I see that there is high risk of that.. especially when I see the current Congress having to adopt a Stupak amendment. I will not support a socially conservative.

I know this man personally he was my rep in congress and my Senator. He is a scum bag with a capital S. I guess if I have to vote between him and Obama I will vote for Obama. He is that bad. I won't even stay home I will vote for Obama and hold my nose.

Ditto, HMG. He embarrassed our state when he went to FLA to interfere with the Terri Shiavo situation. That is when we PA voters said...ENOUGH.
This is why I will not support these nutty social conservative... WHO ARE PROACTIVE in pushing their social views on others.
I like sarah who is a social conservative, but she never pushes her views, she sure didn't as a governor of AK.
I don't like Hukabee for the same reason... I don't give a chit if someone is a social conservative or a social liberal... MOST people are social moderates, they are not extremes, and MOST importantly, they do not want social views and issues shoved down our throats... and this for BOTH sides.
Just stick to conservative/american ideas when it comes to fiscal policy, national security policy, free-market policies. BUT DO NOT force social views down my throat!
