Bam, wake up & smell the disaster

BOSTON -- The Republican knockout victory here last night should be a Code Brown alert for President Obama. (Emphasis added)

It was a political earthquake of equal magnitude to the temblor that crushed Haiti.

Amid the aftershocks and bewilderment, however, it appears that Obama -- Mr. Hope and Change who was inaugurated one year ago today -- may not fully grasp just how personally responsible he is for the thrashing here in the Democratic heartland.

Even before voters had finished voting, Obama's minions got busy dumping all over Martha Coakley for her terrible campaign.

The instant blame game revealed a White House deeply involved in Machiavellian tactics against its own party that would make Dick Nixon blanch.

However terrible the "Chokely" campaign may have been, make no mistake: Obama owns this. (Emphasis added)

The opportunity he earned one year ago cannot be overstated.

He came off an election victory so historic and spectacular that even Republicans got caught up in the euphoria.

His party's control in the House was unquestioned; their power in the Senate unstoppable.

Enemy Republicans were punished nearly out of existence and very few people were sorry to see them go.

And though his mandate was somewhat ill-defined, it was a powerful mandate. And because it was ill-defined, it was like a blank check. He could write it out to whomever and for however much he wanted.

He could have changed the world.

Instead, Obama completely squandered his historic opportunity and is now poised to become the shortest-lived political dynasty in history. (Emphasis added)

Voters asked for no more back-room dealmaking. Obama's Democrats delivered a monstrous health-care bill that nobody wants, doesn't lower costs and bankrupts the country -- all drafted in secrecy. (Emphasis added)

Voters demanded an end to Washington corruption. They got sweetheart deals for labor unions and massive payoffs to lawmakers. (Emphasis added)

Voters begged for fiscal restraint. They got fiscal insanity. (Emphasis added)

One year ago, people marveled at the magic of Obama.

But the only magic trick he managed to pull off was to rescue the Republican party from the ash bin. (Emphasis added)

More . . .

This is politics, and this is his power, and he will use it to push the health care bill before Brown is seated. They are working overtime to do so.

Yes, Building4112, I am seeing exactly that. All players in the HC policy making are missing in action on the TV today; they are in the strategy room.

What's funny is that, if Coakley had won, we'd be waiting until she was seated to vote. They are so predictable, it's rediculous!

THIS is what all those who should have pounced on Obama's non-natural born citizen status - like Rush, Sean, Glenn, etc. - were told to wait for.  I'm sure they were frothing at the mouth to throw him out based on his ineligibility, but the Creepy Corporate Cabal told them, "Just wait.  A time will come, and it will come soon, that the tide will turn, and Barack will be a pariah, even to the Democrats."

This is the time.  And I'm looking forward to watching Jon Stewart eat crow in about eight minutes.wink  True, he's coming around a little bit, since he's a smart guy.  But the Brown win cannot be ignored, and Stewart will be FREAKING OUT.biggrin

Great article, BTW, Sanders...thank you!  Another of my New Year's resolutions is to spend only an hour on the computer in the morning, unless it's business or family-business related, and one hour at lunch (after five it's a free-for-allwink).  So I can't read or post as much as I'd like.  But this was definitely a gem, and I'm sorry I can't read more!!

Alex, Oh, you're welcome. Well, pretty much the same constraints here but I had set aside some time today to review all US newspapers. Mostly, I put in my lunch hour as I much on a sandwich usually..

A request: Please try to post one or two articles early in the morning. That will help us all.

Thanks.

I'm assuming you're directing that request at everyone.  (I won't have much time to post articles in the morning.no)  I'd love to hear/see what Hillary's Worldians (who feel like posting) feel is important!!
