Even under normal circumstances (if there is such a thing these days) I would not expect Hillary to serve as SOS for eight years. She certainly would not be the first SOS to serve one term. However, I find it curiouser and curiouser that she is making this statement at this particular time. Putting out feelers, perhaps?

depends on when this interview was done...before or after the Brown win.

Hillary has made that very clear. I hope she frees herself up a bit earlier to run for 2012.

hmmm... only 1 term?? while I will most likely support sarah over hillary... I hope hillary quits as soon as the midterms are over and the dimocrats/marixsts are kicked out... and starts her '12 campaign.

this should have been Madame President Hillary Clinton!!!!!!!!! Every freaking DNC letter I get, I write that all over their donattion request form, and include my recipts to SarahPac.

These DNC a$$holes have NO clue what damage they did on May 31th, 2008. They didn't know it then, I doubt they know it now!

And also, they abused their power this past year, why the hell would I vote for any of these radical losers... NOT one dimocrat stood up against the lunacy comning out of DC... oh yea, now they act like... we knew this.. WELL WHERE THE HELL WHERE YOU ON DEC. 24TH at 1AM!??!?!

Hannity's radio show was on when i was in bed sick but i did hear him say Dems in Congress have said they are no biting their tongues and going along with the WH but will let their gripes out. then he read from the liberal blogs and papers from this week and they were all bashing O (some i posted during the week on my wall)

Funny, I'm thinking her daughter is getting married, as a grandma, I'd be thinking
about that honeymoon, and possible grandchild..........reason enough to get out, and enjoy
that experience.

I think right now she is thinking 2016 but I wouldn't be surprised if she left this year say for living in Albany until he tanks and she can run in 2012

This morning on Morning Joe, Tavis Smiley was talking about his new show (Tavis Smiley Reports) which features an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Secretary Clinton’s day-to-day work at the State Dept. (and of course interviews) which will air January 27th (and that is the Clinton episode). Smiley said that when he asked Clinton if she would serve in a second Obama term (if Obama has one), she was very clear in her desire to NOT serve a second term.

Here is the show, you have to go to about halfway into the video (I”m not sure exactly where it is)- the video is 12 minutes and the part where Smiley is talking about Hillary is in the middle:
