But I have to ask a question. How entertaining are these "rap" songs when over half the song has to be "bleeped"? If the Academy can't get these creative rappers to get there songs presentable...ie: within the FCC guidelines...then what is the point of even having them performed?
All the bleeping is annoying.
Elton and Lady Gaga did a great opening, didn't understand the whole staging of Pink's song....frankly, they should have just let her sing period...she had me mezmerized with her subtle vocals, the staging antics just took away from the song after that.
Beyonce's number was so Janet Jackson 1984, it was pathetic to me.
And the "In Memorium" tribute (?) seemed more a rushed after-thought than any true tribute to the musical artists we lost this year.
They acknowledged that Santana's Supernatural wins were 10 years ago, but frankly, if I never hear the song Smooth again, it will be fine with me. Never liked the oh-so-overhyped Rob Thomas.
I watched Desperate Housewives so I only saw the first hour...flipped over during commercials....and the rest after Housewives and I have to give the Grammy folks credit.
No award show so consistently stinks year in and year out as does the Grammy show.
BTW, as I typed this, Taylor Swift won Album of the Year....good for her!
