Doesn't Conyers have enough to do without bothering Hillary? I think he's just trying to tear her down, since she's so high in the polls compared to Obama. Any port in a $#!tstorm!

I can understand his wanting to see black staffers but for him to suggest that the man be demoted because he didn't send a black staffer to the CBC meeting is outragous. Yes the man should have sent a black staffer to this meeting and yes if he doesn't have one he should hire some or not attend these meetings.

The CBC should most defiantly be looking out for the rights of African Americans that is what they are supposed to do but for him to suggest demotion based on a mistake--a minor one--is ridiculous. He could have spoken to the man and told him to hire black staffers if he doesn't have any or told him that the CBC wants to see black staffers when people from the administration come to their meetings.

I wouldn't call it racism the same way I don't call women's groups demanding people hire women is sexist. I just think that he went about this in the wrong way.

Did he actually suggest that he replace his entire staff with black people I don't think he did he just wants to see black staffers. We do not know the racial make up of the man's staff but racism this isn't its just ignorant.

However, its time the CBC worry about African Americans only not Africans or Hatians we have to many problems to share OUR congress with the entire black world.

Conyers needs to start worrying about getting Ford elected to congress and get our representative in the Senate since come Dec there will be no black Senators.

Monica Conyers was on the Detroit City Council. She pled guilty to accepting a bribe and will be sentenced sometime within the next few weeks. She has also been accused of political corruption, but that investigation is still ongoing.

humm doesn't he make enough money so she doesn't have to take bribes but then again he is in the Congress where there is nothing else but thieves and crooks.

Thankfully, the voters of Detroit elected some new City Council members, plus a new mayor, who are far better than the corrupt, incompetent bunch who were these past few years.
