President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will meet US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday when they both attend the inauguration of Uruguayan president-elect José Mujica in Montevideo, Argentine ambassador to the United States Héctor Timerman confirmed.

"Both parties agreed to a bilateral meeting," the Argentine official said, and specified that the meeting was expected to take place this Monday at 2:45 pm (Buenos Aires time) in the Uruguayan capital.

On Monday, Fernández de Kirchner will fly to Montevideo right after giving a speech during the opening of ordinary sessions in Congress at 11 am.

Upon arrival she will join the rest of foreign representatives and heads of state already present during Mujica's inauguration, who will take office after Tabaré Vázquez.

Regarding Fernández de Kirchner's meeting with Clinton, who will be present on behalf of Barack Obama, Timerman reported it would happen before the inauguration ceremony although it's not clear yet where it is set to take place.
