If Americans could have a former living U.S. president run the country and deal with the problems facing the nation today, they would pick Bill Clinton by a wide margin, a Newsmax/Zogby poll reveals.
Former President Jimmy Carter came in last, garnering just 5 percent of support for him taking charge.
But now for the bad news:
The Newsmax/Zogby poll also asked: “If an election for president were held today between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, for whom would you vote?”
The results: 38 percent chose Obama, 30 percent opted for Clinton, 29 percent said “neither,” and 4 percent were “not sure.”
Obama finished ahead of Clinton among Democrats by a large margin, 67 percent to 23 percent. But surprisingly, Clinton far outpaced Obama among Republicans, 33 percent to 6 percent; 60 percent chose “neither.”
Independents also favored Clinton, but by a very narrow margin.
Another twist: Hillary fared better with men than with women. She topped Obama among men by a margin of 35 percent to 32 percent, while Obama won 44 percent of the women’s vote compared to 26 percent for Clinton.
Thanks for posting this Jen. I gotta say, if this poll accurately reflects the attitudes of women in this country, I swear, I don't know whether to move out of the country or have a sex change. I'm damn sick of women keeping other women down. No one in the freakin' world is doing more to help women than Hillary. Yet, with all that Obama has failed to do, and with the problems American families are having just putting food on the damn table and holding on to their damn houses, the women would vote for Obama!??!!
WTF!

my son knows i am a tomboy and not catty. he said normal women are bitches and spread lies about other girls but we guys dont do that, we just try to outcompete them and lie and say we won or got laid or make more money when in fact it is a lie. that is less harmful than women spreading rumors i fooled around with a prof when i was in college, it spread to the dean ALL FALSE. brutal bitches i must agree. HRC is a tomboy if you look back to the 60-80s and even Bill's mom lookec down on her because she was rough and plain. i am like that too
Another tomboy here! LOL! Yep, we do not quite fit into the meek and smiley-all-the-time expectations.
On the poll, I have to say a few things. 1. The numbers seem skewed. I have read results of other polls where Hillary polls significantly higher. Let's not forget, this is Newsmax poll. 2. Women -- even women supporters -- had an expectation of "fight to death" that was simply unrealistic. 3. In politics, as in life, each success and failure is a learning experience to be built upon. Who would have thunk a first lady in SOS seat just 8 years later?
Let us never forget that MANY presidents were made after several early losses.
Hillary Clinton is showing that her skills are solid and how she truly earns her mantle. As people realize the picture painted by the opponent campaign of a tea-sipping first lady is really a caricature of a diplomat-in-action-first-lady in her ... and they will know she has bested them all.

Those poll results don't seem right to me, either. It's not just the Hillary part. I'm guessing they oversampled some demographic groups or something like that. However, I do think it hurts some that Hillary isn't in the public eye much these days and that the msm is ignoring all the work she's doing as SOS.
I was always too puny to be a tomboy, but I'm not a girly-girl either. I dress like a grunge hippy most of the time and I don't even own a pair of high heels. They don't make 'em small enough to fit my little feet!

LOL, funny, I NEVER thought of you as a small person with tiny feet! You are BIG person in my eyes! LOL. That's not gonna change.
Yes, MSM is ignoring a lot of her work and is highlighting some tiny small things here and there. All the more reason for us to be supportive of her work as SOS and her career... here and on other Boards that we may belong to. There is need for the old activism to come back in full force in a positive and supportive way. May be then, MSM will give her a bit more time.. when they realize there is a lot of interest in seeing her.
One of the things I will go back to doing is calling in on the PBS morning newspaper reader call-in line which gets discussed live and talking about Hillary Clinton's work as SOS.

What a great bunch of females we have here. I love tomboy girls and hippies. Guess I'm kind of a combination of the two.
We seriously need to find a way to educate the young girls and women about the damage they do to themselves and to others with the nasty sort of behavior Amy described. I think the description her son gave about how girls act is all too common everywhere across this country.
