Hillarysworld

Hillary Clinton visited Pakistan and was interviewed on PTV News by a panel.  Dunya TV News (India) had a pundit and anchor discussing the interview, the US aid ($7.5B of which $500M is going now) is being sent to Pakistan for the infrastructure work, US conditions and what are/might be America's goals.

This is in Hindi with sprinkles of English, and of course, clips of Hillary Clinton interview segments are all in English. 

Right off the gate, the Dunya News Anchor who is introducing the clips (in Hindi) is commending Hillary Clinton for actually knowing what she is talking about.. his words and body language show that he is impressed.






Anyway, the two anchors are clearly very impressed.  The older man with glasses is explaining the underpinnings and what it all means; he is doing a good job of explaining the conditions posed and why America is giving the financial support and it is going towards structural improvement, and how the conditions posed (such as no military takeover) are actually further reinforcing the goals of structural improvement.

Second clip is quite good. Both Hillary Clinton interview segment and the discussion that follows.  In the discussion, they are sharing and reinforcing what Hillary Clinton said about radicalism, radicalization.  That there are radicals among all religions, but the extremism that is problematic is where they lift arms and do harm to people.  There are far right-wing radicals in the US too - radicalism in just speaking, influencing others...  That is different from extremism where the radical proceeds to lift arms.

The strategic dialog is civilian, and US supports democracy.  Strategic dialog by the US is always civilian-to-civilian.

The anchors are very pro-Hillary and are pleasantly able to see the US perspective.

In the 4th clip above, the expert observes that the work in Afghanistan is big.. and General McChrystal had asked for 80,000 more troops and Pres.Obama approved only 30,000 additional, not all of which have arrived in Afghanistan yet. So, the expert opines that it will NOT be possible for America to withdraw from Afghanistan easily (that is the literal translation of his statement). 

The caller q&a segment is also quite good.  The expert is very knowledgeable and really challenges the caller's presumptions.  Some of the callers have very high expectations of US; the expert pushes back and says we in India need to stand on our own feet - he backs it up well with very logical reasoning.

The last segment is about VAT and estate tax and the rationale behind estate tax.
