Well, now we know what the problem is. Kerry has the answer. It's not the fault of the Democrats that they're on a slippery slope to the unemployment office. No. It's not their total disregard of the will of the people. It is not because their hand-picked POTUS is incapable of governing. And it sure as hell is not becaue the Speaker of the House and Leader of the Senate are nut-jobs - if anyone was thinking that.
Why are people blaming the Democrats in congress and the WH for the fact that American voters are about to hand them their walking papers? Of course the Dems aren't to blame.
We are. This travesty is occurring because we, the voters, are a bunch of "out-of-touch" dumb a**es.
Aren't we glad that Kerry explained the problem to us. After all, Kerry is known to be an expert on getting Dems elected, I mean, he did almost beat one of the most unpopular presidents in recent memory - well, maybe not almost, but at least he didn't lose by a huge landslide. lol
Kerry blames out-of-touch voters for Democrats' midterm image troubles By Mike Lillis - 09/25/10 06:06 PM ET
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) this week said an uninformed public is largely to blame for the Democrats' problems heading into November's midterms, the Boston Herald reports. “We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,” Kerry said Friday in Boston, according to the Herald. "A lot of the anger today — while it’s appropriate because Washington is broken — is not directed at the right people." The remark drew a quick response from William Jacobson, a conservative blogger and Cornell University law professor, who told the Herald that such an attitude is the reason the Democrats' are facing a tough election cycle to begin with. “It just continues the Democrats’ theme that the reason people are upset is because they don’t understand — they're not smart enough," Jacobson told the Herald. "That sort of rhetoric just gets people even more upset." Kerry waded into a similar spot in 2006 when he suggested that students who don't perform well in school will get "stuck in Iraq." Though Kerry is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, his comment drew howls from conservatives — including the George W. Bush White House — for implying that the military attracts less intelligent (or at least less motivated) recruits than other professions. You're right, John. Explains why we have Obama instead of Hillary, don't you think?

So true! So very true VH! Let's hope he reflects on those words a bit more, looks back to how true it was in 2008... how true it is in 2010... and perhaps it might be -- let's hope not -- in 2012.
It is not that the electorate chooses to remain ignorant.. rather the elected choose to serve up platitudes and slogans.. and wait for someone else - such as the WH or the party leadership mailings - to communicate with the electorate.. and the result is people take their input from the hyped up most-watched news channels that are driven more by sensationalism that feeds ratings frenzy than feeding boring facts or even positive facts which may not bring the audience back to view the same topic the next day.

Bush's second term was no picnic, but I don't think it would have been any better with this doofus at the helm.
I don't think so either. Kerry was one of the Dems who helped select Obama and install him. If that reflects his best judgement, he doesn't even need to be a senator - certainly not potus.
